For too long, our election system has been left vulnerable. Pamela will bring the common-sense, conservative reforms needed to restore trust and integrity at every ballot box.
She will fight to:
- Close the Primaries: Require voters to register by party if they intend to vote in a primary and add party identification to voter registration forms.
- Strengthen Voter ID Requirements: Require all voters to prove U.S. citizenship before registering to vote and closing the “reasonable impediment” loophole that allows people to vote without showing a valid government-issued ID.
- Clean Up Voter Rolls: Require government agencies to share information, helping ensure only U.S. citizens living in South Carolina who are registered voters can vote on election day(s).
- Establish the S.C. Election Integrity Unit: Create a unit within the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to investigate any irregularities or fraud involving voter registration, voting, candidate or issue petition activities, or any other alleged violations of South Carolina election law.
- Prohibit Rank-Choice Voting: Support legislation and any measure that will stamp out attempts to institute ranked-choice voting, especially in local elections.
- Support Fair Redistricting: Ensure the people of South Carolina, not politicians and back-door deals, determine the outcome of elections.
